Fani-Kayode says Kachikwu’s claims not surprising, that NNPC is the cash cow for 2019

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal of pillaging funds from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to finance his 2019 presidential campaign.

He said that the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, should not be surprised with his experience in the sector because Buhari and “his tiny cabal of ethnic supremacists” has nowhere else “to get the funds for his 2019 campaign.”

Fani-Kayode stated this in a tweet on his Twitter handle.

He was responding to the now open feud between Kachikwu and the group managing director of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru.

Kachikwu had in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, which letter found its way to the public domain, accused Baru of insubordination.

The Nigerian Senate, in response to Kachikwu’s petition, had on Wednesday, set up a panel to probe Baru.

But in his response to the whole saga, Fani-Kayode tweeted, “Ibe Kachikwu does not appreciate the fact that to @MBuhari and his tiny cabal of ethnic supremacists pillaging 26 billion USD from the Northern (sorry “Nigerian”) National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is nothing. Where else do u expect him to get the funds for his 2019 campaign?”

In an earlier tweet, the former minister had asked, “Why is Ibe Kachikwu, the Min. of State for Petroleum Resources, surprised that he has not been granted access to @MBuhari and that the northern MD of NNPC is undermining him?

Did he expect it to be any different? Has he forgotten he is Igbo? To Buhari ALL southerners are slaves.”
